Why is Jeffrey Dahmer’s mask selling for $1,000 on eBay?

Jeffrey Dahmer is way more popular on Netflix than on eBay, which bans killer costume rentals

Jeffrey Dahmer, the “ deranged killer” of Milwaukee, has been hailed as a “media icon”.

His crimes were so gruesome that he even has a cameo in one film, The Silence of the Lambs.

But his fame has done nothing for his personal life — he is now so forgotten that his killer mask is going for $1,000 on eBay.

So what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer?

The question might seem strange to people on eBay, one of the most popular sites around.

It is often the case that sellers of bizarre and gruesome products, such as murder equipment, or the masks of notorious murderers, get little or no return for a single, small sale.

On the other hand, there are thousands and thousands of Jeff Dahmer masks on the auction site, some of which are selling for as much as $1,000 each.

So why is Dahmer’s image on eBay selling for thousands and thousands of dollars?

The site’s chief buyer, Chris Gaudiani, said: “We don’t make the rules. People want to buy that stuff.”

“The masks sell by the thousands,” he added.

But that is not the whole story. There are a few factors driving the Dahmer masks down on eBay.

Perhaps the best example is the murder-related sale of one: a $1,700 mask from a man called Mr. K, which sold for $8,600.

In that sale, the seller had a photo of the mask on the site, and described what it was made of: “the upper portion is made of latex, which could have been used as a gag”.

The seller also said he wanted to ensure that it was not fake.

However, by the time he posted the mask, it had already gone for over $7,000.

So was it fake? That’s the big question.

And that brings us to another factor, for which eBay might have a few
